IT Department and Development Team Review - We interview the key members of the target company's technology team. We assess their technical competency and management skills. We determine whether their goals for meeting key development deadlines are realistic. Concurrently, we evaluate whether the department is over- or understaffed. We conduct skills assessment tests and interviews. We examine compensation levels and determine whether they are in line with the market. Finally, we rate the importance of key personnel to the company, such as a project manager or lead developer.

Assessment of Systems Infrastructure, Network and Information Security - We evaluate the target company's systems and basic technical infrastructure. We determine whether these systems can meet the company's technical and business goals. We also exhaustively explore network and information security and make appropriate recommendations.

Competitive Assessment - We compare the technology and products of the target company with those of the competition from a technical standpoint - We ask questions like: "Who has the better technology for this application?" "Whose solution is more practical and user-friendly?" "What new developments and threats from new technologies has the client not foreseen?"

Review of Development Process, Procedures and Documentation - We closely examine the target company's entire development process (our team is trained at CMM level 3), from the overall structure and technical architecture to specific details such as data structure design, code flow, module structures, source code control, virus checking, security and back-up and recovery planning, quality compliance and procedures, technical documentation and testing. We determine whether this process can adequately meet the target company's development goals.

Evaluation of Quality Assurance - When a software product is in the testing stage, we can bring our own development expertise to bear and evaluate the process. We make sure that all pertinent hardware and software configurations are adequately tested. We examine regression testing, bug-tracking and resolution, and the alpha and beta release processes.
